PPP HOLDS LECTURE ON 2017 BUDGET STATEMENT

The Progressive People’s Party held a lecture on the 2017 budget statement on Friday, 24^th March, 2017 for members of the party aimed at helping them have full grasp of the budget.

Participants were educated on Government 2017 targets for key economic indicators, 2017 estimated revenue and the sources, 2017 areas of expenditure, how the targets will be achieved (the policy initiatives), assessment of the impact of the policy initiatives on key economic indicators, assessment of impact on standards of living and analysis of the predicted deficit and challenges to the achievement of the policy targets.

The lecture which was the first of its kind in the party was addressed by Dr. Mahama Bawah, a member of the PPP Economic Team and was attended by party communicators, National officers, parliamentary aspirants, as well as staff at the party’s Headquarters.
